Day 10: This is one of the most profound truths in the New Testament: the believer’s true life—your deepest identity, worth, and future—is hidden with Christ in God. At first glance, this verse sounds mysterious. What does it mean that our life is hidden? But when we look closer, it becomes a wellspring of comfort and assurance.
Colossians 3:3 (NLT)
“For you died to this life, and your real life is hidden with Christ in God.”
To be hidden with Christ is to be safely concealed, securely placed, and spiritually united in the One who cannot be shaken.
You died to the old life—the one driven by fear, sin, shame, and striving. In Christ, that life has been crucified. And now, your real life, your eternal life, is no longer rooted in the shifting ground of this world but is anchored in the resurrected Christ. You are not merely following Jesus at a distance—you are in Him, and He is in you. There is no safer place to be.
The idea of being hidden recalls the language of refuge. Think of Noah in the ark, Israel in the cleft of the rock, or David in the cave—those were shadows of what we now possess in fullness through union with Christ. The wrath of God has passed over you, not because of your goodness, but because you are hidden in the perfect righteousness of His Son. The enemy may accuse, the world may shake, and your heart may tremble—but your life is sealed in the One who has already conquered death.
And here is the wonder: nothing can uncover what God has hidden in Christ. Not loss, not failure, not time, not temptation—nothing. Your security is not based on your ability to hold on to God, but on His unbreakable grip on you. You are protected not just in theory, but in truth, and the evidence is the empty tomb and the ascended Christ seated at the right hand of God.
Application
Remind yourself today that your identity is not in your success, appearance, or even your feelings—it is in Christ. When you feel exposed, vulnerable, or lost, declare the truth: My life is hidden with Christ in God. Let that truth redefine how you see yourself and how you face the challenges before you.

Prayer
Father, thank You that my life is hidden with Christ in You. In a world that constantly shifts, I find peace in knowing that I am eternally secure in Your hands. Let this truth quiet my fears and strengthen my heart. Help me to live from my true identity—not as the world defines me, but as one who is deeply loved, forever protected, and hidden in Christ. Amen.cumstances when God has raised you in Christ above them.
